Hello everyone... I am so excited to share this post with you today, Today I am going to show you how to make these beautiful pink velvet pumpkins. I just love how these pumpkins turned out they just look so beautiful to me and today I am going to teach you how to create your own velvet pumpkins. These pumpkins were surprisingly easy to make and I just love how they look, they look very expensive to me, but the only things that you need are some velvet fabric ( I used pink but it can be any color that you like) You need some thread and a needle and some stuffing ( I've used the stuffing from an old pillow) and you need some stems you can be very creative with which stem you use ( I ordered mine from Etsy here) but you can also use some stems from an old pumpkin, you can use some cinnamon sticks You can use some wooden sticks and decorate them you can add any stems you want.
Step 1
The first thing that I did was to cut out some circles from the fabric, You can use any measures you like, but remember the bigger the circle the bigger the pumpkin and vise versa. I had to cut out quite a big piece to get a decent size pumpkin so make sure that cut them quoit big for my smaller ones I used a medium plate to measure them out. But again you can use any sizes you like. I used pink velvet fabric but again you can use any fabric you like and any color that you like as well.
Step 2
Take your needle and thread and stick the thread through the needle tip use a big amount of thread because you'll be going to need a lot of thread to create the pumpkin, especially for the big ones. Ones you have your thread trough your needle you'll get your fabric cut out in the circle from the first step. Then you go with your needle through the sides of the circle make sure you leave one centimeter from the edge of your fabric and stitch the whole circle together.
Step 3
Ones you've gone with your whole needle around the circle you'll have a little pouch, You fill that with the stuffing (I've used the stuffing from an old pillow and you just stuff it as much as you want it until the pumpkin looks big enough for you.
Step 4
Ones you stuffed the little pouch you close it and stitch the tops all together so it's all closed up from the top. Once you've done this step you will have a pumpkin looking round sort of ball.
Step 5
Then you take your needle and thread again and you go with your need from the top of the pumpkin till the bottom and then you go up again to create a little pit on the bottom of the pumpkin.
Step 6
Ones you've done that you'll make a knot and you cut off the extra thread, and Voila you made a pretty pumpkin
Step 7
Last but not least you add the stem to your pumpkin, You just take some glue (I've used fabric glue) or your glue gun and you just glue the stems on the pumpkin and now you have it your own beautiful velvet pumpkin.
Step 8
and then you can make as many as you want!!!
So this is how I've made these beautiful pink velvet pumpkins, I think that they turned out so beautiful and I just love them so much, I truly hope that I can inspire you to make your own pretty velvet pumpkins, I had such a lovely time creating these and I just love how they turned out.
